She is survived by: her husband John W. Simmons; her grandchildren, Crystal N. Johnson, Chastity S. Woodson and Phillip Michael Simmons; her sister Gloria Hall; her nieces, Wanda Nix and Edna Finklea; and her friend Maggie Bardwell. She is also survived by nephews, cousins, neighbors.
