He is survived by: his wife Dee Thompson (Applewhite); his children, Charles Thompson (Sherry), Sammie Thompson Jr., Connie Carroll (Darnell), Alton Thompson, Karen Thompson and Melvin Hathorn (Brandi); his grandchildren, Kwame Thompson, Anthony Thompson Jr., Todd Thompson Jr., Zenece Carroll, Dontae Thompson and Jayda Thompson; and his great grandchildren, Paris Barnes and Payton Thompson.
