He is survived by: his parents, Carolyn P. Brown and Percy Hodges; his sons, Ruben J. Brown, Brandon D. Thomas, Brydarrious Thomas and Micah McDaniel; his granddaughter Alaiya Thomas; his aunt Helen Joe; his siblings, Marshall Brown, Calvin Bradley, Gary Batiste, Bridgette Batiste, Jasmine Batiste and Monica McCarter; his aunts and uncles, Robert Wroten, Ellis Hodges Ernest Lett, Irma Owens, Barbara J. Payne and Gloria Jean Peairs; and his friend Fred Parker. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins other family and friends.
