He is survived by: his wife Betty Powell; his daughters, Janet Redding (David), Debby Murren (Terry) and Lynn Powell; his stepchildren, Melvin Joel (Amy), Lesa Decuir (Charles) and Cathy Shoemake (Anthony); his grandchildren, Jamie Redding, Ricky Murren and Justin Baggett; his stepgrandchildren, Timothy Joel, Brandy Carter, April Sutterfield, Ryan Shoemake and Madison Shoemake; his brother Wayne Powell (Jeanette); the mother of his children Carol Powell; and also Brother Rodney Coleman.
