She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry F. McCartney and Opal Taulbee McCartney. She is survived by: her husband Thomas "Tommy" Yates; her daughters, Geneverie "Genny" McClenic (Kennith) of Avalon Beach, FL, Karlotta "Karla" Phelps (Brentley) of Hurley, MS and Kelly Dye (Brad) of Escatawpa, MS; her grandchildren, Maylen McClenic of Tommie and Landon Phelps; her siblings, June Leggett, Kate Watts, Debra Turnbull, Sharon Trayler, Sally Nelson, Lola Counterman, Howard "Buddy" Watts and Dennis Fox; and her niece Wendy Drummer (Donald). She is also survived by in-laws, nieces and nephews.
