She was predeceased by: her parents, Woodrow Perry and Ruby Esco Jackson Perry; and her sons, Donald Woodrow Byars (Evelyn Christina) and John Robert Byars, II. She is survived by: her husband John Robert Byars, Sr.; her son Shawn Byars (Victoria); her daughter-in-law Heidi Zweifel Byars; her grandchildren, John Robert Byars, III (Clarrissa) and Emily Byars Williams (Micheal); her great grandchildren, Kathryn Cheyenne and Emma Renae Byars; and her goddaughters, Dr. Ashley Allred and Amber Synesael. She is also survived by numerous other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to the Audubon Society in honor of Mrs. Melba Byars.
