She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Sr. Broughton and Carrie Broughton; her husband Warren Lee Brookshire; her children, John Alfred Salter and Debra Ann Tate; and her siblings, Robert "Buddy" Broughton (Dorothy), Augusta "Gus" Broughton (Janie Bell) and Jimmie Broughton.
She is survived by: her children, Doris Salter of Hampton, GA., Curtis Tate of Moss Point, MS., Roosevelt, Linda Tate of Paramount, CA., Janice Tate of Moss Point, MS., Chauncey Brookshire of Atlanta, GA., Etronia and Kardal King of D'Iberville, MS.; and her siblings, Mary Charles Broughton, Mary Frances Perryman, Melissa Smith, Arthurine Pittman, Charlie Earl Broughton (Dorothy), Freddie Broughton (Gloria Faye), George Broughton and Edward Broughton. She is also survived by great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
