It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lillie Poindexter of Moss Point, Mississippi, who passed away on August 29, 2024, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Jenkins Kimbrough and Minnie Lee Kimbrough; and her siblings, Jenkins Earl Kimbrough, Hattie Kimbrough and Delois Kimbrough Crawford.
She is survived by: her husband James Randolph Poindexter; her children, James, Sr. Poindexter (Consuela), Keith (Ingrid), Janet Poindexter and Ebonee Poindexter; her grandchildren, Jamal Poindexter (Shamia), Keeman Poindexter, James Poindexter, Jr., Kennedy Poindexter and Jayden Brown; her siblings, Henry Kimbrough (late Pauline), Benna Kimbrough (Betty), Clarence Kimbrough (Pauline), Emma Mitchell (Pastor Ronald) and Jacqueline Jones; her aunt Betty Williams; her sisters-in-law, Mary Miller, Rosie Poindexter, Pearlie Poindexter, Verniece Poindexter and Delores Locke (Charlie); her grandson Asher Doby; and also KaSha Cunningham. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
