It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jewel Dean Byrd (Moss Point, Mississippi), born in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, who passed away on January 31, 2022, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Floyd Freeman and Leona Freeman; her husband Rev. Kenna Byrd Sr.; her children, Kenna Byrd Jr. and Pamela Faggard; and her son-in-law Danny Kilgore.
She is survived by: her children, Rebecca Helms Kilgore and Gregory Byrd (Dianne); her grandchildren, Shane Helms, Allison Faggard, Amanda Lundy (Tim), Lyndi Barfield (Ryan), Danny Lee Kilgore, Leslie and Chris Kilgore-Cochran; her great grandchildren, Breanna Helms (Wesley), Blair Lundy, Raegan Williams (Lundy), Emma Lundy, Kody Barfield, Kyler Barfield, Joseph Kilgore, Braden Bertram and Charlie Bertram; and her great great grandchild Blake Roberts. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
