He was predeceased by: his parents, Arlie Kirkland and Annie Kirkland; his brothers, Paul and Raymond; his former wife Elaine Kirkland; and his son Ronnie Louis Kirkland.
He is survived by: his wife Virginia Kirkland; his stepchildren, Chris Bowen and Melissa Jackson; and his sisters, Betty Fluet and Benita Humphries. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, Great-Grandchildren and one Great Great-Grandchild.
