He was predeceased by: his parents, Flanders Sherrod and Barbara Jean Sherrod; his siblings, Byron E. Sherrod (William Hunt) and Stella Collins; and his nephews, Charlie Sherrod, Tremain O'Neal Moore and Kendrick Sherrod.
He is survived by: his son Jerome Sherrod, Jr.; his grandchildren, Jayden Sherrod, Bryson Sherrod and Kyela Sherrod; his sisters, Theresa Sherrod and Kala Smith (Born); his stepmother Breeland Sherrod (Punkin); his brothers, Tyrone Sherrod (Sunny), William Hunt (Gloria Jean), Flanders O'Neal Sherrod, Maurice Sherrod (Awilda), Thomas Jones (Paula), Cedric Taylor, Elliott Lett, Victor Upshaw, Jarrod Fountain and Jason Sherrod (Shervonne); his aunts, Altha Lee and Hazel Sherrod; his brother Herman Sherrod (Clairedene); and also Shelia Sherrod. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Unity Funeral Home & Cremation Services (4900 Main St, Moss Point, MS 39563).
