He was predeceased by: his parents, Dan Hunt and Jennie Loggins Hunt; and his brothers, Marvin Hunt, Allen "Sonny" Hunt and Daniel Hunt.

He is survived by: his wife Mary Hunt of Moss Point, MS; his children, Jacqueline D. Nettles (Willie Nettles Jr.) and Mark Hunt (Tammy); his grandchildren, Markel Hunt, Arman Rijos, Alvin Ford and Kennedy Johnson; his sister Della Jane Hargrove of California; his godchildren, Alfred Coleman Jr., Margaret Roberts, Skylar Roberts, Logan Roberts and Jaxton Roberts; and his friends, Alvin Myers, Clint Wells, Ulysses Hamer and Jeffrey Jackson. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
