She was predeceased by: her parents, Leslie Jackson and Emma Mae Jackson; and her son Alexander N. Brown. She is survived by: her husband Shelby Brown; her sons, Shelby L. Brown, James L. Brown and Melvin L. Brown; her daughter-in-law Ruth C. Brown; and her sisters, Shirley Jackson and Betty Stringer. She is also survived by sixteen grandchildren, five great grandsons, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
