He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Elder and Esther Elder; his brothers, Roland Hocherl and Edwin Hocherl; and his parents-in-law, Charles and Delores Hudson.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Elder; his children, Matthew Elder (Amy) and Ashleigh Elder (Ellen); his grandsons, Sam Elder, Daniel Elder and Alexander Langford-Krause; his brothers, Hollis Elder (TJ) and Harold Hocherl (Sandy); and his siblings-in-law, Ann Lemaitre, Janice Carney (Michael) and Ron Hudson (Laura). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
Due to concerns surrounding COVID-19, masks are required to attend the services.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to St. Joseph The Worker Catholic Church, P.O. Box 8549, Moss Point, MS 39562-8549.
