He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey Bernard and Flossie Tait (Lee); and his siblings, Arnetta Salters (Tait), Kathy Banks (Tait), George Tait, Talmadge Tait and Alfred Tait.
He is survived by: his children, Gloria Tait of Pascagoula, Veronica Tait of Waco, Micheal Tait of Pensacola, Gregory Simpson (Angela) of Huntsville, Catina Cunningham of Biloxi and Valerie Dailey of Los Angeles, California; his sister Mary Tait Stallworth of Pascagoula, Mississippi; and his friends, Mary Vice and Terry Vice. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
