He was predeceased by: his wife Brenda Stallworth Pugh; his granddaughter Nekeunyae L. Pugh; his son Rodney F. Pugh; his parents, I. Z. Virgil Pugh and Vessie Wright (Luzell); his brothers, Willie J. Pugh and JC Steward; his parents-in-law, Dorothy Mae Williams and Herman H. Stallworth; and his granddaughter Latrice M. Dubose.
He is survived by: his children, Nekreida L. Pugh, Edward "Gene" Pugh, Demetrius Pugh, Lamon Dubose, Jr., Yolanda Scott (Jamie, I) and Sabrina Dubose; his siblings, Ferdinand Pugh (Betty) and Shirley J. Leonard; and his aunts, Cassie B. Massey and Viola Hoye. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a plethora of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
