He is survived by: his wife Peggy Edwards of Moss Point, MS.; his children, Frederick Bohannon of Meridian, MS, Christopher Edwards, Douglas T Edwards of Moss Point, MS. and Ashley McCann of Pascagoula, MS; his siblings, Jeanice Bennamon (William) of De Kalb, MS, Bertha Moore (Willie) of De Kalb, MS, Arthur Edwards of Lanett, AL, James Edwards (Cynthia) of Meridian, MS and Timothy Deaton (Patsy) of De Kalb, MS; his brothers-in-law, Theodore Chamberlain of Crestview, FL, Tommy Chamberlain of Pascagoula, MS and Sammy Chamberlain (Patricia) of Shuqualak, MS; his uncles, Eddie Payton (Flora) and Fred (Octavia); and his grandchildren, Olivia, Christopher, Nene, Daniel, Caylen, Cameron, Tylexia, Taraji, Mirissa, Maya and Melody.
Viewing was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Unity Funeral Home & Cremation Services (4900 Main St, Moss Point, MS 39563). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the New Vision Baptist Church (15793 Hwy 16 W, De Kalb, MS 39328).
