It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Doris Louellyen Stokes (Moss Point, Mississippi), born in Grand Bay, Alabama, who passed away on August 17, 2021, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Medrick Thompson and Dorothy Mae Thompson; her husband Clyde "Bo" Stokes; her daughter Doris Jean Palmer; her son-in-law G. L. Palmer; her grandchildren, Paul, Richie Nicholson and Delena Louellyn Palmer; and her great grandchildren, Kailyn, Brett and Braden Nicholson.
She is survived by: her children, Janice Horton (Dwight), Brenda Nicholson (Steve), Gloria Palmer (Jerry) and Chris Stokes (Amy); and her brother Robert "Bobby" Thompson (Dora). She is also survived by 14 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Due to the concerns surrounding Covid-19, face masks are required to attend the service.
