She was predeceased by: her parents, William, Sr. Torrey and Luesendia Torrey; her siblings, Bennie Torrey, Sr., Robert Torrey, James Torrey, Alcee Torrey Haynes and Gaynell Torrey Stokes; and her friend JoAnn Jackson.

She is survived by: her husband James Floyd (Shorty); her sons, Derrick "Dosey" Caples (Twaya), Trenel "Toby" Torrey and Taurus "Moody" Torrey (Valerie); her grandchildren, Damonta Caples, Ikietta Hyde, Ty'Ana Hutchins, To'rrien Hutchins, Chris Loper, Trenel (Kalia), LaDarius Torrey, LaNas Torrey, Alleyah Torrey, Alona Torrey, Syncere Torrey and MaKayla McKinney; her great grandchildren, Toriana James of Torren James, III, Chance Torrey, Karlee Loper and Kamori Harris; her siblings, Alice Faye Powe and William "Mickey" Torrey; her sisters-in-law, Jerry Torrey, Fannie Torrey and Rosia Torrey; and her niece Sharon "Sweetheart" Sanders (Kayla Pryor). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
