He was predeceased by: his parents, James English and Emma English; his sisters, Quida Lee McKinley, Alice Murphy and Jimmie Mae Dismukes; and his stepdaughter Toni R. Gurley.
He is survived by: his wife Pat English of Moss Point; his children, Debra Langley, Cindy Lawson, Patricia Breedlove, Charles English Jr. and Susie Campbell; and his stepdaughters, Tina Henne and Teri Winger. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and friends.
