He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie E. Patton, Sr. and Mealie Parker Patton; and his brother Willie Edward "Lou" Patton, Jr.. He is survived by: his significant other Annette E. Showers; his daughters, Kevina R. Patton of Houston Texas, Robyn J. Showers of Mobile, Alabama, Sonya Caples Davis, Dana Showers Philon (Hubert), Tyranda Caples and Paula M. Showers; his grandson Preston Cornell Showers-Jackson; his siblings, Anne B. Chatman of Pascagoula, Mississippi, Sylvia M. Patton of Pascagoula, Mississippi, Jacquline Rogers (Stanley) of Pascagoula, Mississippi and Jack "Jackie" Patton of Gautier, Mississippi; and his close friends, John A. Hollins (Jacinda), Reginald J. Wilson, Caryn A. White and James A. Hollins. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, grandchildren; and his loyal pet.
He is preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Mr. Willie Edward "Lou" Patton, Jr. Calvin made the Stone Street Baptist Church his visiting church home before his health declined, and the pandemic set in.
