It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alice McCorvey of Moss Point, Mississippi, who passed away on October 8, 2023, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her daughters, Valerie McCorvey-Nettles and Valarie McCorvey; her parents, DeLeon Thompson and LeeAnna Gladney Thompson; her brothers, James Kennedy, Dewey Kennedy, Ronald "Chop" Thompson and Garner Ted Thompson; and her nephew Kevin Thompson.
She is survived by: her son Willie Bert McCorvey, Jr. (Jocelyn); her siblings, Carolyn Thompson and Robert "Bob" Gladney; her sisters-in-law, Ida Pearl Kennedy and Edna "Barbara" Thompson; and her nieces and nephews, Constance Kennedy, James L. Kennedy, Jr., Gary Kennedy, Derek Kennedy (Shelbi), Bridgette Kennedy-Tait (Alfred), Erika Knowles (Carlos), Andrew Gladney (Annette), Philip Gladney (Kimberly) and Brian Thompson.
