He was predeceased by: his wife Candice Knotts; his parents, Julius Knotts and Rosa Lee Knotts; his brother Julius "Squeaky" Knotts; his granddaughter Taelor Carter; and his great grandchildren, Joseph Pitts and Lindsey Brooks.
He is survived by: his children, David Knotts (Wendy) of Moselle, Catherine Chiasson (Julian) of Poplarville, Dianne Kitchens (Scott) of Nettleton and Kelly Brewer (Robert) of Raymond; and his siblings, James Knotts (Patricia) of Ellisville, Darrell "Buck" Knotts of Seminary, Carl D. Knotts (Carolyn) of Seminary, Audrey Cromwell of Magee, Barbara Mooney of Seminary, Clara Mae Revis of Magee, Estelle Eaton of Magee, Doris Herrington of Laurel, Mary Carol Thompson of Seminary, Sally Knotts (Kim) of Soso and Susie Russell of Moselle. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
