He was predeceased by: his parents, J. C. Wheat and Stella Wheat; and his brother Roy Wheat. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Wheat of Moselle; his daughter Danielle Benoit (Daniel) of Petal; his granddaughters, Madelyn and Abigail Benoit; and his brothers, Wayne Wheat (Lavera) of Sumrall and Dale Wheat of Petal. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
