He is survived by: his wife Lisa Simmons; his children, Rosie Maria Evans (Leander Cooley), Jaylatwan Simmons (Karah), Alester Simmons (Virginia), James Leroy Simmons (Gwen), Tanya Simmons-Early (Hezekiah), Phyllis Burkett (Tradis), Patrick Simmons, Clifton Simmons (Martha), Lequisa Evans, Jurrell Evans, Natrell Evans and Aquela Evans; and his sister Hazel Simmons-Hunter (Bobby). He is also survived by seven brothers and sisters-in-law; along with a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friend.
