It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carole Strickland of Moselle, Mississippi, born in Mobile, Alabama, who passed away on October 13, 2023, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Carrie Elizabeth McElhaney and G. B. Riels; her husband Johnnie Wayne Strickland; her brother Butch McElhany; and her cousins, Allen Herrington and Alice Ashmore.
She is survived by: her children, Dr. Johnnie W. Strickland (Chrystal), Randy L. Strickland (Lora), James "Bo" Strickland (Tina) and Dr. Carrie D. Strickland; her grandchildren, Lauren, Joshua, Jennifer, Caleb, Ethan, Megan and Ashli; her sister Gail White (Tony); her great grandchild Mateo; her extended family James D. Ashmore II; her cousins, Bonnie Kent (Larry), Lois George (Randall), Hugh Herrington (Paula) and George Herrington (Mary Anna); and also, Jonathan, Michael, Misty, April and Alisha.
