He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin Thrash and Eva Lee Thrash; his son Carlis Michael Thrash; and his siblings, Mary Lou Thrash, Winston Alvin and Charles Thrash.
He is survived by: his wife Sandra Thrash of Moselle; his children, Carl Alvin Thrash (Amy) of Wiggins, Charles McNeil of Moselle and Andrea Carol Thrash Scruggs of Pensacola, FL; and his grandchildren, Jeremy Scruggs (Danielle), Nelson Scruggs (Natalie), Andrew Scruggs, Drake Alexander Thrash, Rheanna Reeves (Robert), Tessa McKayla Holcomb, Shawn Michael Thrash and Brandon Temple. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
