He was predeceased by: his parents, Billy Jack Powell and Velma Mae Givens Powell. He is survived by: his wife Sherrie Powell of Morton; his children, Amanda Brown, Keysha Brady and Tyler Powell; his sisters, Sarah Hoffman, Clara Woodard, Brenda Miller of Natchez and Janice Brown; his grandchildren, Julia Brown, Karmen Brady, Krimson Brady, River and Ryder Powell; and his siblings-in-law, Lein and Greg Doyle.
