He is survived by: his wife Kayla Latham Bates of Morton, MS; his parents, Billy Jack Bates and Joan Palmer Bates of Morton, MS; and his siblings, Shannon Lee Bates (Daphney) of Lake, MS, Dana Michelle Bates Johnston (Lynn) of Lena, MS and Lisa Danielle Bates Parker of Lake, MS. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
