He was predeceased by: his parents, Jessie Dewey Thorne and Leona Phillips Thorne. He is survived by: his wife Betty Jean; and his children, Regina Wilkey, Reggie Thorne, Jimmie Nell Tagert (Billy Joe), Catrina White (Creighton) and Randy Thorne (Tammie). He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Polkville First Baptist Church.
