He was predeceased by: his parents, Jeffie Lee Gainey and Lena Mae Gainey; his siblings, Polly Mitchell, Bobbie Nell Sistrunk and Randall Gainey; and his grandsons, Dusty Walker and Kirkland Gainey.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Jo Gainey; his children, Renee Walker of Morton, MS, Ramona Marlett (Denny) of Morton, MS, Kevin Gainey (Connie) of Morton, MS and Joey Gainey of Morton, MS; his sister Jean Alford of Morton, MS; his grandchildren, Daniel Walker, Anna Rhinewalt, Max Gainey, Makayla Gainey, Nick Bradley, Bo Bradley and Brandon Phipps; and his great grandchildren, Ella, Huxley Walker, Levi, Lena Beth Rhinewalt and Tillie Dean Bradley. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives.
