She was predeceased by: her parents, Cecil Parker and Martha Howell Parker; her husband Earnest Ray Brooks; her siblings, Idell Parker, Annie Parker, Lois Stewart, Ray Parker, James Parker, Clyde Parker and Rufus Parker; and her son-in-law David Shaw.
She is survived by: her children, Denise Perritt of Lake, MS, Sherri Bryant of Forest, MS, Tammy Brooks of Koscuisko, MS, Tony Brooks of Forest, MS and Terry Brooks of Morton, MS; and her sisters, Shirley Smith of Forest, MS, Joyce Dupree of Raleigh, MS and Glenda Porter of Forest, MS. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, three great-grand children; a number of nieces, nephews and other friends and relatives.
