Bates; his sister Beverly Smith; his wife Kathy Bates; his daughters, Ramona Whitehead and Sherry Bates; his granddaughter Nikki Clifford; his children, Jeff Bates (Terri), Denet Goodman (Curt), Christi Wright (Tim) and Ashley Dutiel (Kevin); and his grandchildren, Dana Babb, Leslie Rigaud, Garrett Goodman, Morgan Goodman, Justin Bates, Taylor Bates, Tracie Wilson, Jason Passons and Tasha Lofton.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Branch Baptist Church (3997 Measels Rd, Morton, MS 39117). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
