She was predeceased by: her parents, Clyde L. Huffman and Zora Gray Huffman; her husband Jeff Bates; and her siblings, Clyde Huffman, Jr., Dot Gray, Rita Banes, Cammie Falvey and Tommie Huffman.
She is survived by: her children, Billy Jack Bates (Joan) of Morton, Jo Ann Hughes of Morton, Donna Rogers (Robert) of Morton and Sandy Neal (Rick) of Morton; and her siblings, Velma Knight of Pelahatchie, Frankie Huff of Pelahatchie, Mattie Garrett (Finis) of Pelahatchie, Jimmy Huffman (Virginia) of Pelahatchie and Carol Traxler of Polkville. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, 9 great-great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
