She was predeceased by: her parents, William Jackson Newsom and Sylvia Irene McKee Newsom; her husband Dr. Howard D. Clark; her son Christopher Allen Clark; and her sister Sylvia Overstreet.
She is survived by: her sisters, Carolyn Gay Raper (Sonny) and Debbie Gibson (Kerry); her children, Rebecca Rogers, Carolyn Rogers Bevan-Thomas (Paul), Cathy Rogers, Jack Rogers and Angela Proctor; her stepchildren, Neva Clark Jefcoat (Jere), Janie Clark Westberry, Patricia Clark Westberry, David Clark and Bettie Ann Clark Anderson; her grandchildren, Allyson Schury (Johnny), Michael Wallis (Tricia), Andrew Bevan-Thomas, William Bevan-Thomas, Isabelle Bevan-Thomas, Zachary Flores, Hays Rogers, Max Rogers, Ellie Rogers, Jackson Rogers (Lucy), Devon Rogers Bilbro (John Wilson), Hannah Proctor, Jacob Proctor, Samuel Proctor and Phoebe Proctor; and her great grandchildren, Brooks Wallis and Grace Wallis.
