It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles W. McCaughn of Morton, Mississippi, who passed away on September 24, 2024, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. As Charles departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Charles. Though Charles may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth McCaughn; his children, Richard McCaughn (Cecilla) and Stephanie Housley (Ricky); and his siblings, Carolyn Brooks (Leon), Dorothy Hudson and Robert McCaughn. He is also survived by four grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
