He was predeceased by: his parents, Elijah Johnson and Ina Mavis Johnson; his brothers, Harold C. Johnson and Jimmy Earl Johnson; and his nephew Brian Keith Gaddie.

He is survived by: his siblings, Janie McMullan (Doyle) of Decatur and Jerry K. Johnston (Sharon) of Meridian; and his sister-in-law Linda Johnson of Newton Mr. He is also survived by nieces & nephews.
