He was predeceased by: his parents, Jean Baptiste Blanchard and Arlene Nadeau Blanchard; his spouse Bobbie Leslie; his son Nicky Blanchard; and his siblings, Charlotte, Corinne, Carla and Frank.

He is survived by: his children, Scott L. Blanchard (Nita) of Shiloh Community, Larry Blanchard (Joyce), Kathy Arnold (David) of Hot Springs, Mary Dawson (Gary) of Mooreville, Suzanne Smith of Mooreville, Frances Long (Mickey) of Greenbrier, Phillip Blanchard (Mimi) of Guntown and Chris Blanchard (Kori) of Mooreville. He is also survived by 21 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
