He was predeceased by: his brother Johnny Wilford Wood; and his stepgrandchild Wesley Wood. He is survived by: his wife Brenda Gillen Wood; his sister Claudette Sheffield (Joe) of Mooreville; his nieces, Tammy Barrett of Mooreville, Susan Sheffield of Memphis, Kathy Deer of Pearl and Jennifer Sheffield of Tupelo; his stepchildren, Julia Martin of Pontotoc and Ranae Hardy of Pontotoc; and his stepgrandchildren, Matthew Wood, Savanna Sullivan, Cameron Sullivan, Taylor Martin and Katelyn Martin.
