She was predeceased by: her parents, Herman Rushing and Lessie Smith; and her siblings, Rufus Rushing, Bill Rushing, Willie Rushing, James Rushing, Smith Rushing, Paul Rushing, Jerry Rushing, Herman Jr. Rushing, Sarah Rushing Sagor, Joyce Rushing Odom and Lessie Mae Rushing Rawls.
She is survived by: her husband Edward Harlan Spence of Monticello, MS; her children, Allen Spence (Sarah), Andy Spence (Tina), David Spence (Stephanie) and Emma Herz (John); and her siblings, Donald Rushing of McComb, MS and Beth Rushing Morrow of Tylertown, MS.. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 11 greatgrandchildren.
