He was predeceased by: his parents, Johnny Blackwell and Cassie Lambert Blackwell. He is survived by: his wife Geraldine Smith Blackwell of Monticello, MS; his children, Johnnie Michael Blackwell (Alice) of Monticello, MS, Yvonne Neal (Joseph) of St. Rose, LA, Belinda Pippin (David) of Columbus, MS and Lisa Blackwell of Monticello, MS; and his brothers, Glynn Blackwell and Robert Blackwell. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers family ask that donations be made to Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church.
