He was predeceased by: his parents, Ida Elois Deare King and Diamond Pinkney Young; and his sister Rhonda Grimes. He is survived by: his children, Brandi Marie Young Sutton (Dustin) of NewHebron, Daniel Wayne Young of NewHebron, Matthew Young of Monticello, Derek Young of Pearl and Jennifer Powell Ottaway of Alabama; his grandchildren, Donavon Lomax Young and Daron Lane Young; and his brothers, Ronald, Harold, Michael, Kerry and Kevin Young.
