It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eddie Joe Davis of Monticello, Mississippi, who passed away on April 17, 2025, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Jewel "Dude" Davis and Mattie Lou Davis; his granddaughter Nicole Kitchens; and his son-in-law Bubba Kitchens. He is survived by: his children, Leigh Kitchens of Sand Hill and Steve Davis (Amy) of Monticello; his grandchildren, Andrew Dawsey (Heather), Joshua Dawsey, Abigail Davis, Shelby Davis and Audrey Davis; and his great grandchildren, Deklin, Chase and Winnie Dawsey.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 21st 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Wilson Funeral Home (904 W Thomas E Jolly Dr, Monticello, MS 39654). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Monday, April 21st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery (73 Bethel Rd, Monticello, MS 39654).
