He was predeceased by: his parents, Esco Boyd and Dollie Lambert Boyd Creel; his siblings, Betty, Inez, Wilma, Causey, Bonnie, Dorothy, Troy, Nedham, Coney, Clayton, Claude and Kip; his stepfather Hiram Creel; his son James Michael Boyd (Jimmy); his granddaughter Christa LeAnn Boyd Williams; and also, Ted and Ruby Sumrall.
He is survived by: his wife Ruby Nell; his daughter Donna (Susie); his children-in-law, Reggie Smith and Jane Boyd; his grandchildren, Donna, Donald Rose, Will, Samantha Boyd, Scott, Jennifer Williams, Jeremy Smith and Destinie Smith; and his great grandchildren, Raven, Maggie, Johnna, Jaycee, Zerah, Ally, Brantley, Nash and Emery. He is also survived by two children, five grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
