With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Billy Foster of Monticello, Mississippi, who passed away on October 30, 2024 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid Billy farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Billy is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was predeceased by: his wife Jeanette Farmer Foster; his parents, Albert Foster and Johnnie Mullins; and his siblings, Junior Foster and Elizabeth Foster Rutland.
He is survived by: his children, Darrell Foster of Monticello, MS, Tracey Foster Carney (Emery) of Jayess, MS and Tammy Thames; and his granddaughters, Monica Honea and Molly Foster. He is also survived by three great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 31st 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Wilson Funeral Home (904 W Thomas E Jolly Dr, Monticello, MS 39654). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 at 2:00 PM at the New Zion Baptist Church (258 New Zion Rd, Monticello, MS 39654). A graveside service was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 at 2:45 PM at the New Zion Baptist Church Cemetery (258 New Zion Rd, Monticello, MS 39654).
