He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis Byrd and Mary Elise Byrd; and his sister Sandra Lynn Conn. He is survived by: his sons, Tony Byrd (Shon), Gary Daniel Byrd (Jamie) and Ken Byrd (Mandy); his grandchildren, Gigi Fryery (Austin), Matt Byrd, McKenize Byrd, Anna Claire Chesnut, Shelby Poe (Ryan), Bailey Rhodes (Kyle) and Braeden Coulter; and his great grandchildren, Riley Tate Fryery and Ava Rhodes. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 11th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church (Taylorsville, MS 39168). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, December 11th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Wednesday, December 11th 2024 at the Unity Methodist Church Cemetery (311 Welcome St, Taylorsville, MS 39168).
