She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Melton Tucker Merritt and Lora Markline Merritt; her husband Gerald "Boots" Howell; her children, Mark Harold Howell (Stephanie Artz), David Tucker Howell (Jan Forbes), John Gerald Howell (Diana Howell) and Shawn Elizabeth Byars (Lannie Byars); her grandsons, Casey Howell and Cassidy Howell Byars (Megan Byars); and her great grandchild Jackson James Byars.
