He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil N. Roye and Ruby Matthews Roye; his brother Wayne Roye; and his sister-in-law Ann McWhirter Roye. He is survived by: his wife Eunice Bruce Roye of Belzoni, MS; his children, Marchelle Roye Gates (Ferrell), Allen Roye (Suzan) and Chuck Roye (Jennifer); his grandchildren, John David Gates, Casey Gates (Molly), Adam Roye (Jennifer), Seth Roye (Shelby), Drew Roye (Katey Mae), Anna Catherine Roye, Brooklyn Roye, Noble Roye and Channing Roye; his great grandchildren, Ollie Grace Gates, Graelynn Gates and Isaac Roye; his niece Lea Ann Thomas (Russell); and his great-nephew Brick Thomas.
Due to COVID 19, a private family graveside service will be held at 10 AM, Saturday, August 8, 2020 at Pleasant Grove Cemetery with Rev. Paul Sims and Rev. Fred Hartley officiating.
