It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Hal Pleasants Sr. (Minter City, Mississippi), born in Grenada, Mississippi, who passed away on June 2, 2019, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Estes Calhoun Pleasants and Enos Rogers Pleasants; and his brother Enos Rogers Pleasants, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Belva J. Pleasants; and his children, Hal C. Pleasants, Jr. of Jackson, Dudley C. Pleasants (Kay) of Greenwood, James Moore Bowen III (Carla) of Carrollton and Annette Pleasants Mize (Allen) of Greenwood. He is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Minter City United Methodist Church.
