She was predeceased by: her husband James Buchanan; her daughter Michelle Buchanan; and her siblings, Louis Covert, Conrad Covert and Rita Covert.
She is survived by: her children, Tony Buchanan (Nancy), Claire Simmons, Pat Buchanan (Dee), Melanie Reed and Virginia Williams (Mark); her caregiver Dorothy Helm; and her sons-in-law, Ben Williams, Tim Williams, Franklin Gaddis, Blake Simmons, Patrick Simmons and Mark Williams. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the St. Patrick Catholic Church (2601 Davis St, Meridian, MS 39301). A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:50 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at the Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens (7774 MS-39, Meridian, MS 39301).
